Departments and SENR can now create Program Pages. A Program Page is different than a Basic Page. A Program Page can include a banner image, its' own internal navigation, a welcome statement, News, a Contact Person highlighted in the Right Sidebar, Events, Publications, In The Press, Videos and subpages. You can even create a navigation link that will highlight the program's staff. Thus the Program Page becomes a unique website to highlight your Program and still be part of your Department and use the consistent branding for all CFAES related websites.
If you are the person who puts content on your department website or for a program within a department contact your department website administrator to get training on how to create your own Program Page.
For those of you who are under the Drupal 7 Basic or Department template, there are three options you can have added to your website.
Blog - A blog (a truncation of the expression weblog) is a discussion or informational format published to your Drupal website and consisting of discrete entries ("posts") displayed in reverse chronological order (the most recent post appears first). It is possible to subscribe to a blog so that you will receive an email when each new article is posted. This post is on the Training site blog.
Webform - A webform allows a user to enter data that is saved on the Drupal server so you can view it or download it to Excel for processing. You can use the webform to create surveys, registrations, file uploads and other information gathering formats.
Newsletter - A newsletter is a regularly distributed publication that is generally about one main topic of interest to its subscribers. It is possible to subscribe to a newsletter so that you will receive an email when each new issue is posted. This is an example of a Newsletter.
A recent update was applied to the Department home pages. This update added three new content areas: Welcome statement, Buttons and a Trending Box.
Welcome Statement As part of the Home page, there is an area directly under the Slideshow Side where you can place a 1000 character (approximately 200 words).
Buttons There are four buttons on the right side of the Department website home page. These buttons can be edited to say something new and/or link to a different website or document. Do not add or delete any of the buttons.
Trending Box The Right Sidebar of the Homepage is divided into five sections: Social Media Links, Buttons, Events, Trending Box and Photo Gallery. Each department can select the type of content to be displayed in the Trending Box from the following: Recent Publications, Twitter Feed or Media Mention.
